Your job may not be invented yet, and what you want to do may be unconventional and unpractical, but you should pursue it anyway.

Before making the big move to Dallas from North Carolina, I scoured the internet to find events and networking opportunities to connect with other amazing bloggers + entrepreneurs in the area. After coming up dry on Google, I just so happened to log on to Instagram and see one of my fellow blogger babes post about a Dallas Blogger Bootcamp being hosted by a stunning woman named Doni Brown.

After taking some time to research who she was and what the bootcamp would be about, I found myself emailing her excited about helping her behind the scenes to make sure her event ran smoothly. From that moment on, I knew Doni was a mogul in the making. Fast forward three months later, Doni has released her own vegan nail polish line called Fluent Nails, she's an inforpreneur in the making and she is an all around chic, Dallas girl, with Arizona roots, ready to take over 2016! And it is my pleasure to introduce our first Dishing Tea Girl Boss, Doni of DoniBrown.Com

So, sit back, grab your favorite beverage and enjoy Doni's insightful interview with me!

Tell us a little about your blog and what inspired your brand?

I'm a style and info blogger. I show off my outfits while also educating other bloggers on how to elevate and grow their blogs. I created my blog to originally just talk about my life as a stylist. Now I blog to empower and teach others. My WHY is much greater now than before.

I am only 19, so empowering young women is huge for me! I want to show young women that there are opportunities in everything. There’s something in every women that the world needs.

What are 5 key tips for women when pursuing dreams that seem like distant realities?

  1. Always make smaller goals to get to the bigger goals.
  2. Make a list of actionable tasks that will get you to the finish line.
  3. Celebrate the small victories.
  4. Have a strong why!
  5. Ask yourself why are you working towards that goal in the first place and that should push you through the hard times.

What would be one piece of advice you would give to the young women trying to create their own businesses?

Just know that timing is everything. If something doesn't work out the first time, tweak it and try again. Or it may not be the right time. Also, always be ambitious!

What are 3 essential resources that every blogger or entrepreneur should know about?

  1. MailChimp: Every blogger needs to build their email list.
  2. Iconosquare: Keep track of your Instagram analytics.
  3. Canva: Create graphics for your blog.
