Happy Memorial Day Decadents!
I hope your long weekends were filled with family, fun and laughter!
This past Saturday, a friend and I attended a morning showing of the fabulous Iris Apfel documentary in Downtown Winston-Salem. Before we go any further if you have not heard of her please redirect and Google her or simply watch the documentary!
Any who ... after living in Winston-Salem for almost six years, the downtown area was not as rich with vibrant culture and small local business injecting the city with history, art and amazing local dishes, as it is today! Now that I am out of college and in the workforce, I find it easier to find little gems like A/perture Cinema to watch documentaries and other independent films not released in major theaters. These are the moments that make me feel proud of being a Salemite!
Since I was attending a morning showing, I wanted to keep things casual and comfy! It is always great to have pieces that you can just throw on and be out of the door with!

If you haven't seen this documentary, I highly recommend it!
