Happy Friday, Decadents!
As promised, here is the second installment of my 70s lookbook with the beautiful LaNatria of Caribbean Cowgirl! If you didn't catch part one, please be sure to check out that post here: 70s Trend Fall 2015.
In my last post, I shared a few tips and tricks on how you can rock this retro trend this season! But with this post, I am providing you with my top three tips on how to rock a fringe top with your next outfit this season! If you are ready to learn how to rock the fringe trend, meet me on the next page!
Pair Your Fringe Top With A High Waist Skirt
To balance your look, rock a high waist skirt (or pants) with your fringe top! When I incorporate fringe into my outfits, I like to add height to my waist to give me a classy, relaxed look. Yes, this may sound "old-school" but I love my crop tops too, but in this case ... I'm covering my midriff ladies.
Let me interrupt this fashion lesson by reintroducing my lookbook sister, LaNatria!
Trends are never new and they are most certainly cyclical! My girl LaNatria of Caribbean Cowgirl takes the 70s trend to another level! Wide brim fedoras, (faux) fur, leather and over the knee boots were 70s staples and they are back for another season! I'm telling y'all (yes, when my southern accent comes out you know I'm serious), LaNatria is slaying this look above! If you are wondering where she copped these dope pieces, please be sure to read here and follow here.
Rock A HeadWrap To Create An Authentic Look
I was actually inspired by Aretha Franklin when I put this look together! She was known to rock beautiful headwraps during the 70s and I wanted to pay homage to her! Give your look authentic appeal by rocking a headwrap that is complementary to the outfit you are styling. Go all in, Decadents!

Remember Your Neutrals
As with all my tips and tricks I share with you, these are more like recommendations than rules. I hate rules and I break many of them ... well, everyday! The 70s were all about rocking bold prints and colors, but to overdrive this look into the 2010s, think about purchasing a fringe top that is a neutral. Be sure to add in a statement piece (in my case, a headwrap) or a statement piece of jewelry to give this look a POP of color.
